VideoPort H.323/SIP Gateway Integration Tools

VideoPort Gateway H.323/SIP - software, which makes it possible to use Video Conference Terminals (VCT) devices that work on the protocol H.323 / SIP in the network organized on the basis of VideoPort VCS, and provides a personal and group video conferencing between the user H.323/SIP terminal and VideoPort client. This video is provided within a local area network, or with users outside its boundaries.

VideoPort Gateway is a computer device running Windows with the software VideoPort Gateway H.323/SIP. For requirements for VideoPort Gateway hardware, see the chapter on equipment.

To achieve the best possible performance, VideoPort Gateway should be in one segment of a local computer network with an H.323/SIP terminal. Several H.323/SIP VCT terminals should each be connected to a corresponding VideoPort Gateway.

VideoPort Gateway H.323/SIP provides the union of protocols and, if necessary, performs transcoding of video and audio streams from H.323 formats in formats that are used in VideoPort, and vice versa. Calls are addressed by the aliases, the relevant e-mail addresses of users.

VideoPort Gateway H.323/SIP solution features:

• Provides the ability to use a standard H.323/SIP VCT terminal as end user device in VideoPort system
• Allows to communicate between two H.323/SIP terminals over the internet
• Allows an H.323/SIP device to participate in multipoint video conferences created by the VideoPort system

Package includes:

• Hardware part (optional) - computer.
• Software. VideoPort Gateway installs as Windows service and configured by special tool named Gateway Manager.

• Pentium 4 CPU with not less than 512kB cache and 2.8GHz clock speed
• 1GB of RAM
• 40GB of free disk space
• 100Mb/s LAN
• Microsoft Windows XP Pro or Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server
